i agree totally. it is a sad story.. but it shows the true strength and honour in Isildur... many people think how wonderfull that Aragorn was.. he is but a shadow of his ancestors.
i think it is interesting that he didn't like using the ring.
And that putting it on caused him great pain. I think that just shows how different he was from bilbo and frodo and also gollum with there attitudes towards the ring.
