: Does anybody else think it's odd that Aragorn, a Mortal Man though of distinguished lineage, is a more powerful Healer than Gandalf, a Maiar?

I don't think Aragorn is more powerfull. Aragorn never demonstates an inate power or ability to heal physical wounds. He has the knowledge of a specific plant that can heal specific types of wounds. Gandalf never demonstates an inate power or ability to heal physical wounds.

Neither Aragorn or Gandalf demonstrate an inate power ability to heal spiritual wounds. Gandalf does not heal Theodon's spirit, Gandalf, by his words, helps Theodon realize the he,Theodon, has been misled by Wormtongue.

The only person who appears to have to an ability to ease, not heal, the effects of spiritual wounds is Arwen. This ability appears to be knowledge based, and not an inate power.
