: : Wow, I love your picture moniker!! : : I also agree w/ you when it comes to wanting to get the : : whole "movie effect" that can only be had at a movie theater. : : Then again, I can see where movie people, like music people, : : might want to get out from under the greedy thumb of corporate : : America. I think that's what is under all this free download : : stuff on the 'net.: Right now, according to industry estimates, 350,000 people each day want to watch entire movies on their PCs. But, actually, I think the technology may allow you to transfer the movies from your PC to a videotape, so you can watch it on a regular television. Once you get the movie onto your hard drive, you can do all sorts of things with it. : Remember, the film and television industries transfers stuff from PCs to film and videotape all the time. It's just a matter of economics. The less expensive the equipment becomes, the more people who can afford to buy it, and the more people who buy it, the less expensive it becomes. I have used my computer dvd player for many years to play movies and watch them on my 50" tv and and record them on my vcr. I listen to them on my surrond sound stereo. It was not a hard trick and by my notion not very expensive.
