Delighted about the good dubbing: but secretly glad that my English "accent" can't be duplicated!

: In the meantime, you might be interested to hear that "your" German voice fits the character very well, in my opinion. It has an "absent-minded professor" quality at times, while also projecting the father figure element inherent in the character of Summerlee. Overall, the level of quality concerning the dubbing is quite high. What the dubbing cannot truly convey, of course, is the English accent.

: Unfortunately, sometimes a nice piece of dialogue gets lost in the translation. The one case I'm aware of is from the episode "Camelot" where the original line "I'd rip out your tongue if you didn't need it to lick my boots" was turned into something like "I rip out your tongue and bury you" in the German version. To quote England's greatest poet: "The rest is silence". ;)

Odd: I should have thought that an equivalent verbal gag could have been found. But then, when dubbing, there is always the problem of "lip-flap" - moments when the lips come together on labials like "b" "p" "m" etc. and sometimes accuracy has to sacrificed for appearance. Viewers won't miss an absent joke, but will notice an obvious wrong shape to a mouth on a given sound.
: I just hope that I'll get to see an episode in the original version once, if only to know what the actual voices sound like. One can get a certain idea from the video clips on the official site, but that's no real alternative.
