Hi, MICHAEL and welcome to the TLW board, hope you have as much fun around here as we do (looking over to JAN and the others, who are nodding their heads in agreement!).

GERMAN DUBBING: I whole-heartedly agree with Jan's post (... and when do I ever NOT agree with Jan's post...! (;=))) ): Your German voice is just fine, as Jan mentioned so perfectly, it bears the touch of an absent-minded prof, very good comparison, Jan! As for the translation itself: Apart from the obvious problems you and Jan mentioned, IMHO there is yet another one: TIME. A few years ago it would take considerable time to bring the latest season of an American show to Germany in the dubbed version, because working on it would take longer. Nowadays, viewers are demanding to see the new eps as soon as possible, thus giving the channels little time to have it dubbed properly. What is so funny for folks like TROY, JAN and me is that we can sometimes tell from a completely stupid German translation, would the English original would have been! Go, figure... (;=))

YOUR GERMAN VOICE: Apart from Jan sending you a tape, I was already thinking of doing video shots using WinTV of the German version, so people on the board will have a chance to hear all the lead characters with their German voices (;=))), it should be really quite funny... Will post on the board once that is done. If I get your sound file done I will let Michael Martinez have it, so he can pass it on to you, if you are interested.
