Just a curious thought (since I haven't seen all the episodes yet). Do you suppose any of the party would willingly stay behind on the plateau if/when they find a way off?
Summersby I could see staying - he seems to be quite happy studing the place. Veronica has spent most of her life (if not all) there - it's her home and I think she might not feel as comfortable in the outside world.
But the others - I'm not sure. Malone has the conflict of having a girl waiting for him (does he really love that unseen girl?)
Rockston (sorry the spelling is poor - haven't had my afternoon nap ) is a hunter - but he also has a life outside of the plateau. Would he willingly go back to the life of an English peer or be persuaded to stay and build a life on the plateau?
Margueritte would go back if Rockston would - or if he wouldn't. She, I think, has something to prove to the world.
And then there is Challenger - he's got more to prove than Margueritte. Somehow I don't think just discovering a Lost World would be enough for him. He'd have to be able to tell someone about it.
Anyone have any insight for me?
