I think we're all just having fun at Malone's expense. We all saw that he bore "the mark" of the parasite on his back.

BTW, I'm also a big fan of the Veronica/Malone relationship. Kinda reminds me of the Ross/Rachel relationship from the first season of "Friends." It just seemed to me that for everything that Malone does right, something goes wrong that sabotages their relationship.

Oh, well...it'll be interesting to see what the future holds...
