: We should set up a chart and place wagers on who will return and who won't, since we've learned that at least one character won't be back.

Creepy. (Not you, the thought ;) ) Sadly enough, we know by now one of them won't make it back.

: Its a safe assumption that Rachel and Jennifer will be back - their characters didn't go over a cliff!

I tend to agree, although there's even safer reasons to assure they're coming back:
1)VERONICA: Every guy seems to be enjoying her outfits so far.
2)MARGUERITE: She's the most explored character and with the qualities that people on the XXI century enojoy seing in TV.

: Michael's out - he's already been "given the package".

Snif, snif

: My money is that Challenger will get it next, since his screen time was gradually reduced near the end of the series.

You are right. But then again, I don't think they would kill Challenger, because that would mean there are only the couples left, and they know they need another story line before the show gets boring.

: Which leaves us with the pairings. Will David Orth be back?
I would really let go of that one. He's character in the less interesting of them all, he lacks color. I think he could die, simply because it will only help to develop the Veronica character (one they sure will be keeping)

Will the Roxton character be eliminated? We'll have to tune in to be certain!

Don't like the idea, don't really think so. He's the sexy-guy there, Maole looks far too naive. Besides, I think his dynamic with Marguerite is one of the great achivements form the show, there's chemistry there, I think they'll appreciate that.
