Most probably. Mary-Magdalen Chaconi did say that it was a fight to the *death*. I mean the last thing you really want to do is simply piss off the leader of a band of homicidal maniacs. In the name of his pride/reputation, he'd hunt them down (and theoretically, he'd be able to find them soon enough as this is a *plateau*). Notice that the explorers tend to kill all of the mad leader types. (Paragraph 1A, Article 5 of TLW bible (commonly known as the disbandment clause) clearly states: *All* of the average joe "tribesmen" and lower level "administrators" that the explorers face must summarily disperse and/or forget about the incident completely once the leader is dispatched - no matter how "blood thirsty" they are portrayed as being.
