Doesn't a guy usually do that when he's giving you that I'm sorry you deserve better/I can't be with you in that way, but I'll always care for you/be there for you speech? (So I've observed). Kiss my hand as a sign of respect/devotion. Even kiss my cheek or my eyelid for the same reasons, but unless you're planning to start adoption proceedings in the morning, don't kiss my forehead. (grin)
