Since you're in Australia, where the show is filmed, perhaps you could contact New Line Cinema directly and see if there's a writer's guide available for the show. Most shows have a booklet that they distribute to potential writers, giving a background to the characters as a way to shape the scripts that are submitted.

Just an idea.
