: My idea is that Hans Dressler joins the cast as an ally and all of them are rescued by a helicopter-borne platoon of United : States Marines in the year 1947. They are then whisked to an aircraft carrier and finally arrive in the United States on April : 14th, 1947. : I am also reminiscent of how Vonda N. McIntyre's fan-fiction collections helped revive Star Trek. I hope to accomplish the same thing here by encouraging an enviroment friendly to such ideas, thus guaranteeing a longer run for this program. Ideas, anybody? : G3A3,I have no knowledge of the McIntyre collection so I can't comment on it. I do know that Star Trek stood head and shoulders above Lost World from the gitgo because of the thought that went into the scripts and everything aboard the Enterprise. Voyager scripts are great today. I wouldn't presume to critize one and I'd be hard put to write one. Reading tech manuals and behind the scenes books re the series is awe inspiring.Antimatter and dilithium crystals are real. If you know anything at all about antimatter, you know how much power it could generate. The engine room aboard the Enterprise and Voyager might be imaginary, but they are based on lots of physics homework. Lost World writers don't make that kind of effort.I enjoy Xena Scripts as well. Not all of them, but most of them. Lost World could be a lot more than it is. Let's face it, the actors usually end up saving really inane stories and the producers got rid of one of the best actors they had. Fan - fic such as you would like to see, would have to be very well researched. Characters would have to have realistic histories, and the fantasy world would have to be far better designed. The Fan - fic would have to be superior to the actual show. It would probably take a joint effort by just about every regular on this message board. Well it's off to my newest find, a very large reptile. Steve Faust
