: This from the Lost World newsletter ought to keep us theorizing for a while.: "As production continues (wait till you see the "new" sleeker Veronica and buffed-up Roxton!),..... This pretty much seems to set the tone for the upcoming season. Talk about target audience. Which brings me to the question of Summerlee. Those who have have been on this board for a while will remember the official statement following our protests, saying that Summerlee will be back next season, though Michael Sinelnikoff's name was not specifically mentioned. If you've read Michael's posting dated 8/06/2000 you will have noticed that nothing has happened in that direction. To quote from the message: "I stopped posting for a short while, as I was hoping I might be able to give you some news rather than to continue saying that there was none ... but the fact is, I still have heard nothing. And my efforts to verify the posting a couple of months ago in which it was announced that Summerlee would be back "for future episodes" have been unsuccessful." By now, filming for season 2 is well under way. So, which conclusions to draw from all of this? - the official statement was a sleeping pill for us in order to stop the protests - Summerlee will indeed be featured in future episodes, but either portrayed by a different actor or appearing in a different way altogether - Michael Sinelnkoff will return to the show That last option seems to be rather unlikely, given the fact that he has not been approached so far. I for one will email the people at Telescene again, if only to show them that their way of handling this matter is a shame. If you'd like to do the same you can find the relevant e-mail addresses at www.telescene.ca/html/team.html Some may feel this to be beating a dead horse, but as long as there's a chance to bring Summerlee back, I think we should do the little that we can do.
