: I wrote to Cynthia Lane regarding Parsec's David Orth interview faux pas: no MENTION WHATSOEVER OF THE ARTICLE in their blurbs about the contents of past, current and future editions of the magazine. What was particularly revealing was the fact that Parsec mentioned thought it important to mention an upcoming interview with Bill Mumy and Angela Cartwright -- remember them -- WILL AND PENNY from the many years back series, LOST in SPACE.: I think the letter from me and response to her says it all so I am including it. My biggest concern: Did Cynthia "get it" at all? I realize her need to be politically delicate but her answer strays far from any point I "thought" I made -- did she really think I wanted to READ the article? : Cynthia, : > : >If I appear to be a bit of a "pain in the $%#@," please forgive me. I am : >really routing for The Lost World and believe it has great potential -- : >when all of the right pieces are in place. : > : MY LETTER : >It may interest you to know that no where on the Parsec website is there : >any information about the David Orth interview (Parsec posst : >announcements about articles from their past, current or future magazine : >issues.). My question is: What is the point of this interview if it is : >treated with no particular exuberance by the magazine itself? It appears : >that is filler for the Parsec -- one of those items a reader runs into : >while searching for another. It certainly won't do anything to increase : >the level of interest in Lost World if it's not publicized in advance. I : >think this omission on Parsec's part deserves a good spanking from your : >department. What do you think? : > : >Sincerely, : >Theresa Schultheis : > : >CYNTHIA'S RESPONSE : He told me it would be published in the Fall edition Parsec Magazine. I'll : check with him and let you know when he's planning on posting it on his : Web site. : Cynthia Lane : Manager, Public Relations : I'm beginning to doubt my sanity -- maybe this is a clever ploy on the part of Telescene (sort of like the old Gaslight movie) to drive me there. : Theresa;| Theresa, You Go Girl!
