: : I thought it might be interesting to find out the occupations of the Board members! I'll go first.I work for the second largest greeting card manufacturer in the U.S.(not Hallmark)We, (Bardstown, KY plant) produce the everyday greetings cards (such as get well, birthday, sympathy,etc...
: : I guess the most interesting part of my job is one year I worked on Clinton's presidential Christmas card! Now what about the rest of you!

: << I'm a veterinary pathologist. Er, Scully-esque except I slice and dice animals instead of humans. Gory but heck of an interesting 'cause one could do a necropsy (this is the term used for the procedure in animals whilst it's referred to as in autopsy in humans) on a field mouse one day and a horse the next. Largest animal so far has been an adult white rhinocerus.

: BTW, thanks to all for the contributions to my "what's up with the bottomless ammo" query. I guess there really is a "Bullets 'R' Us" after all aka Roxton & Challenger as the Ammo Elves!. ;)
:
: Now after 2 more episodes under my belt, I also gotta know how is it they can squeeze camp beds with mattresses and full sized pillows and chairs into their petite backpacks when all of them go overnight walkabout minus the hot air balloon!

: And how come none of the beasties that go roar and crunch-crunch during the day never seem to do so at night when our fearless heroes are at these campouts? It has to be one heck of a Keep-Out sign!

: Cheers.

: things to remember: Always drink upstream from the herd.

Shelter Halves are two parts of a tent that you carry separately. Upon arrival at your destination, you put them together to make one tent. They've been around since
at least the 1850s'.
As for keeping the beasties at bay; two possibilities arise: A. They keep a fire burning all night and keep their food in a bear bag suspended above them on a tree limb. B. Roxton pours cayenne pepper dust around the camp in a circle. To an animal smelling for food,
this would be akin to OC spraying a rapist.
As for water purification, you boil it and then let
cool with a piece of cheese cloth overtop your pot
to keep bugs out. Sanitary? Yes. Flat tasting? Also yes.
Bedrolls could explain the mattresses and pillows and blankets.
Glad to help,
G3A3
