: I have heard that First Wave is a series that aired last year : in Canada. One of my on-line Canadian friends said the show : gets better as it continues. Well, I hope so. I have been : taping it also, but so far I'm not impressed. I hadn't heard that. I hope indeed it does improve if it stays around. Right now I just cannot get into the two main characters. They just don't seem to have any real life to them. : I'm also disappointed with the direction Sliders has taken. : That's another show I have been taping since it first aired. Well, I've read about the politics that went into this season for SLIDERS and I guess it was either cancel the show or make do with what remained. At least they are trying, though I think some people would prefer they had let it end. :) : Farscape, however, is very interesting. It's well done, funny, : and has many interesting possibilities with its story line. It's the one show that has kept me riveted to the television week in and out since I first started watching HERCULES: THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS. I find FARSCAPE to be inventive, daring, and innovative, even if they do backslide into some standard fare every now and then. It's often been said it takes a new series about one season to find its true character, so to speak.
