Posted by Michael Martinez on July 17, 1999 at 23:25:41 One of the things I wanted to comment on last night (but didn't get around to) was the fact that Rygel not only outwitted the pirates (and Zhaan), he gave up some wealth to do so. I mean, the guy has been nothing but a packrat since the first episode, stealing just about everything he can get his hands on. Suddenly, he turns around and GIVES AWAY a fortune! And I accept that. That's what struck me as so solid about the muppet's performance in this episode. He seemed to be doing it just to show Zhaan he really could put the common good ahead of his own selfishness. |
