Posted by Tony Rowland on July 19, 1999 at 01:01:29 I just read an article on the "Ain't It Cool News" page...FarScape has been renewed for another season! A full 22-episode order has been issued for the series. Apparently, the series was almost canceled, but not due to low ratings. In fact, the series is bringing the Sci-Fi Channel some of the strongest ratings ever! The series was nearly canceled due to a problem with the availability of the studio. Fox Studios in Australia had to make way for another little production that had requested time and space there....anybody ever hear of a small, independent film coming soon called, "Star Wars: Episode II?" That's right, True Believers! The Force almost canceled FarScape's check! However, the producers have found another studio to shoot the series nearby, so they don't have to worry about moving those big, beautiful sets, and the show should continue unabated. Rumor has it that a new, outrageous character is due to be added to the mix, and that there will be some "interesting changes" coming up soon...centered around Moya's little one. Again, let me repeat...FARSCAPE HAS BEEN RENEWED! So I hear.
