: : M'I the only one! Please tell your thoughts or if you have : : something of your that reminds you of Farscape!

: Well, the comparison never occurred to me, but I think you're spot on. "The Breakfast Club" (and FARSCAPE) plot is based on the old "toss the misfits together and let them form a team/become friends" idea. A lot of war movies used to use this premise, too.

Actually, it's the similarity to a war *tv show* that got me started on Farscape in the first place. A month or so ago I was looking for 'Space: Above and Beyond' reruns when I stumbled into the Farscape mini-marathon. I was intrigued, and after making a point to watch a full episode ('The Flax' wound up being the first), I'm hooked.

But back to the point - S:AaB has the same basic theme. Toss a group of different individuals with very unique backgrounds, values, and personalities into a situation where they're required to cooperate in order to achieve their goals, then sit back and watch as they learn to work and live together. It's not so much a show about being in space as it is about 'personal' relationships and interactions. That's what drew me to S:AaB four years ago, and now to Farscape.

(BTW, I'm Sarah, I'm a newbie, and all of the fun discussions on this Message Board just sucked me in even more! So - Hi, everyone!)
