: Howdy Fellow Scapers,

: It probably took me about 5 minutes to become an instant Farscape fan and Aeryn & John lover. I LOVE the chemistry between the two characters (Huge thanks to Ben & Claudia).

: My wondering will Aeryn & John's relationship fall the way of X-Files Mulder & Scully? You know the angst, yearning and longing for YEARS without any real movement? Dont get me wrong I love my X-Files and Mulder & Scully and yes they've made definite changes in their relationship but where Aeryn & John are now it took Mulder & Scully about 4 years to get too! lol Eventually, I think the "angst/UST" gets old. Viewers reach a point where they've gone from hoping to "Either just do it or move on!"

: Farscape is an ensemble cast, tightly written with an interesting storyline. No, I dont think (should the time come) that Aeryn & John's romance should become the sole focal point of the show but I hope the creators, always wise and knowning, dont drag out the "wanting" for too long. However, so far they haven't--the writers dont seem so afraid of a potential romance between Aeryn & John as other shows seem to be and they seem to respect the viewer's intelligence by realizing that we're picking up the "shippiness" of the relationship. We get see the occassional glance, mutual smile, nuzzle and kiss and of course lines like:

: Aeryn: "I didn't know if you were coming back..." : John: "I would never leave you.."

: Its definantly nice, its different I just wonder if the writers will continue forward or think "angst and yearning" is the way to go..

: Okay, I'm starting to ramble so I better tie this up quick so I can shut up lol I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd like to see John & Aeryn involved eventually in a grown-up adult romance BUT without the sappiness, heart and flowers and them retaining their individual personality. Unlike the X-files who's main focus seems to be the "angst" of Mulder & Scully's unexpressed feelings, I dont think A&J could hurt the show because it wouldn't/shouldn't be the total focus; there's still Dargo, Rygel, Chiana, and Zhaan each character interesting, complex with alot to offer the show. Farscape doesn't need A&J to keep the viewers solely hooked to the show when there are other stories and characters around who we love/enjoy just as much..

: Hope I made some sort of sense. Agree, disagree, comments?. Okay now I'm done lol

: T.C

What I would LOVE to see happen is them have a few close encounters and eventually become very good and trusting friends. Maybe even to the point were they have a platonic sex life together, yes this can actually exist.

Then I think 10 years down the line when they decide to continue the series in movies, based on the success of the previous three. Well in the last epic movie Chriton finds his way home and it's actually a nice place, he's ready to leave and they all realize that they can live without each other, but don't want to.
