Posted by Michael Martinez on January 06, 192000 at 02:35:08 Actually, this is about a week old, but I've been busy lately and have had trouble connecting to the server that I use to read the group. From: kermit@interlog.com Subject: Latest "Farscape" News Date: Tue, 28 Dec 1999 17:36:45 -0500 Organization: Interlog Internet (Toronto) Hello, The second season of "Farscape" will premiere on The Sci-Fi Channel in the USA on March 17th, 2000. Next Online Chat: Thursday January 6, 2000 at 8:45pm ET "Farscape" Writer Richard Manning and Director Andrew Prowse Log on for an exciting conversation with writer/producer Richard Manning & director Andrew Prowse. Manning wrote "That Old Black Magic" and "Throne for a Loss"; Prowse directed the premiere episode, as well as "Rhapsody in Blue" and "DNA Mad Scientist." These architects of the plots & characters that keep audiences clamoring for more will field questions about the future directions the show will take -- or at least give enough tantalizing hints for you to survive until you get your "Farscape Fix." This the first in a special series of four chat events ushering in new episodes of "Farscape", including the spectacular quartet of season closers. In January, 2000 www.scifi.com/chat will include online chats with stars, producers and the creator of the show himself, Rockne S. O'Bannon. The return of "Farscape" on The Sci-Fi Channel in the USA is mentioned by critic Matt Roush in the January 1 - 7th, 2000 issue of TV Guide. Here is what he wrote: Roush Rave BY MATT ROUSH After a round of grueling torture, Farscape's astronaut hero John Crichton (Ben Browder) mutters, "Danger, Will Robinson." Later, as he heads out on a potential suicide mission with the Klingon-like D'Argo (Anthony Simcoe), the pair conjures memories of Spock and Kirk, or is it Abbott and Costello? This captivating and clever series (Sci Fi Channel, Fridays, 8 pm/ET) is back all month with fresh episodes, a grisly new foe in the skeletal Scorpius (Wayne Pygram) and a wow of a multiple-strand cliff-hanger January 28. The second season starts on March 17. Can't wait. Take care!
