I think they have set themselves up for a very great rush. This may be the best episode shown so far this season. There wasn't a whole lot of Aeryn, but considering she was sick, I'm glad they didn't go into foppy bedside reminiscences as so many shows tend to do. The touching concern D'Argo showed makes me a little curious if he's feeling something more than friendship, but clearly the John/Aeryn fans had something to cheer for in this ep.

Bringing back PK Tech Girl (Joleen? I'm terrible with secondary character names) was a good stroke. I sometimes wondered if we'd ever see her again. I hate how so many love interests come and go on popular TV shows. You'd think people could run into each other again on occasion. And she obviously still has it bad for John, even though he now seems to be totally concentrating on Aeryn. Chiana picked up on the vibes easily enough.

I think having an unexpectd ally inside the complex was a good idea, too, but what bothered me was that she seemed to have too much access to high security systems. Also, after John was captured, why didn't they initiate a search for Chiana? The commander doesn't seem to have given her a second thought until he saw her during the evacuation. This is a high security base? Big oversight, guys.

What also struck me as odd was the fact there were no patrols in the vicinity. Okay, it's a SECRET base. But still. No listening outposts? No one floating around in an old freighter waiting for signs of intruders? Moya just crept right into orbit around that gas giant without anyone on the base detecting her. How did she do that? How fast does the ship travel through a star system? The base apparently never got wind of her.

Well, back to the good stuff. They are definitely pushing the envelope with Chiana. I'd hate to see her be the character that dies, but Gig is still listed as a guest star. Either contractually they cannot add her to the main cast credits or she's got "Dead Meat" written all over her. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe Zhaan gets blown away and comes back as a 15th level Paku'allal or something (that's a joke, people!).
