: PK Tech Girl's name is Gilina. And not only was it a good idea : to bring her back for the reason you mentioned, but with the : whole John/Aeryn thing and the still kinda almost John/Gilina : thing, they've set up a great conflict, that can end in a lot : of ways. And did anyone else get the vibe from Chiana that she : was purposely lying to Gilina about John and Aeryn, to save her : own butt in case Gilina got really upset about it? Gilina. Thanks. And, yes, Chiana was definitely milking the obvious concern for John. :) : : I think having an unexpectd ally inside the complex was a : : good idea, too, but what bothered me was that she seemed to : : have too much access to high security systems. Also, after : : John was captured, why didn't they initiate a search for : : Chiana? The commander doesn't seem to have given her a : : second thought until he saw her during the evacuation. This : : is a high security base? Big oversight, guys. : I get the feeling Gilina is either, a) the head tech on the : base, or b) a hacker. I tend to lean more towards b. And they : did mention looking for Chiana and not being able to find her : in one scene while John was in the Aurora Chair. I missed the reference to looking for Chiana. But I'm tired of seeing hackers have access to every system invented on television. It's just not realistic. : : What also struck me as odd was the fact there were no patrols : : in the vicinity. Okay, it's a SECRET base. But still. No : : listening outposts? No one floating around in an old : : freighter waiting for signs of intruders? Moya just crept : : right into orbit around that gas giant without anyone on the : : base detecting her. How did she do that? How fast does the : : ship travel through a star system? The base apparently never : : got wind of her. : This bothered me too, until it hit me, what if they : found or captured Moya right before, or while she was giving : birth? Seemed like a stroke of genius after I saw next : week's promo where Moya's giving birth. (get those baby clothes : ready!) Someone still should have noticed a leviathan coming into orbit around the gas giant.
