: : Does anyone else think that JC looks a hell of a lot sexier in his new Peace Keeper clothing. It gives him that rough, rugged look. I love the writers for doing that... [snipped for space]

: Funny you should mention that, as I had a different reaction. Yesterday I was zipping through the various FarScape web sites and scanning the pictures from the first season that I didn't see. It was then I realized how I like John's outfit better from that time period. In general, Farscape's costuming is pretty dark, using lots of blacks, greys, and deep browns. John's lighter colored clothing from earlier on set him apart and I liked that. After watching last night's episode, I felt he was being dress like Han Solo. Though even the Han Solo character in Star Wars had a white shirt. The new look is too dark for my tastes.

Plus it added I think more of a symbolic thingie (yes I just used the word symbolic and thingie together in a sentence, I'm an educated dumb ass.) Anyway. Everyone in the beginning half of the first season was kind of shady and damaged and would've killed each other, and gotten killed on planets if it wasn't for ole Mr. Crichton who was the philisophical symbol of goodness, compassion, heroism, and purity. He never cut Pilot's arm off! He didn't try to kill everyone when he had on the gauntlett! He never wanted to hurt something just because he was pissed (D'argo and the DRDs). Meanwhile though, this season he's opening up with some demons himself and becoming less understanding and passive. Ex: Vitas Mortis. Plus he's crazy now, Ex: Crackers Don't Matter. He ain't goody two shoes and it shows now. Though I do hope he'll wear his old clothes again later, They have laundry day y'know!
