: : I'm curious what Aeryn said to the alien (who is pretending to : : John's father) that elicited a "thank you" from him.....or was : : that just there to be make us aware that he wasn't who we : : thought he was?

~~~ I asked this question earlier and no one answered. It was three sentences, and she looked out to make sure John couldn't hear what she said. She also *assumed* she was speaking to the man who had just hugged his son for perhaps the last time. She knows how much Crichton loves his Dad from talks they'd had on Moya, plus his taping messages. Persumably, this scene is after *that special-yet-completely-vague intimate moment during which we have no idea what happened, except to use our dirty little minds.
Okay, what Aeryn said. It was three sentences, and if you time them (first one longer and the last two short), take into consideration all these other things and the general roles of scientist (Crichton) and warrior (Aeryn) getting ready to go on the run...
I think she said: "Don't worry about your son. I'll protect him. I promise." Then, when Dady says "thanks" she thinks he understood her. Also, the kindly alien would appreciate such a *Human Reaction* from a sebacian.
Aeryn has a protective thing about John that I don't think they have utilized yet to its full potential. What would she do to save him, and how would she feel if she thought he was dead. Man, I wouldn't want to be the one holding the smoking gun in that instance. I'm hoping for a whole-hog shoot 'em out, battle between her and Scorpius sometime soon.
