: I think they have set themselves up for a very great rush. This may be the best episode shown so far this season. There wasn't a whole lot of Aeryn, but considering she was sick, I'm glad they didn't go into foppy bedside reminiscences as so many shows tend to do. The touching concern D'Argo showed makes me a little curious if he's feeling something more than friendship, but clearly the John/Aeryn fans had something to cheer for in this ep.

lol, I was thinking the same thing about D'Argo after I got done watching to second run.

: Bringing back PK Tech Girl (Joleen? I'm terrible with secondary character names) was a good stroke. I sometimes wondered if we'd ever see her again. I hate how so many love interests come and go on popular TV shows. You'd think people could run into each other again on occasion. And she obviously still has it bad for John, even though he now seems to be totally concentrating on Aeryn. Chiana picked up on the vibes easily enough.

PK Tech Girl's name is Gilina. And not only was it a good idea to bring her back for the reason you mentioned, but with the whole John/Aeryn thing and the still kinda almost John/Gilina thing, they've set up a great conflict, that can end in a lot of ways. And did anyone else get the vibe from Chiana that she was purposely lying to Gilina about John and Aeryn, to save her own butt in case Gilina got really upset about it?

: I think having an unexpectd ally inside the complex was a good idea, too, but what bothered me was that she seemed to have too much access to high security systems. Also, after John was captured, why didn't they initiate a search for Chiana? The commander doesn't seem to have given her a second thought until he saw her during the evacuation. This is a high security base? Big oversight, guys.

I get the feeling Gilina is either, a) the head tech on the base, or b) a hacker. I tend to lean more towards b. And they did mention looking for Chiana and not being able to find her in one scene while John was in the Aurora Chair.

: What also struck me as odd was the fact there were no patrols in the vicinity. Okay, it's a SECRET base. But still. No listening outposts? No one floating around in an old freighter waiting for signs of intruders? Moya just crept right into orbit around that gas giant without anyone on the base detecting her. How did she do that? How fast does the ship travel through a star system? The base apparently never got wind of her.

This bothered me too, until it hit me, what if they found or captured Moya right before, or while she was giving birth? Seemed like a stroke of genius after I saw next week's promo where Moya's giving birth. (get those baby clothes ready!)

: Well, back to the good stuff. They are definitely pushing the envelope with Chiana. I'd hate to see her be the character that dies, but Gig is still listed as a guest star. Either contractually they cannot add her to the main cast credits or she's got "Dead Meat" written all over her. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe Zhaan gets blown away and comes back as a 15th level Paku'allal or something (that's a joke, people!).

Well, remeber, this is still the first season. I'm guessing they won't add her till 2nd season.
