I felt a little uncomfortable about them too,
It started to make me feel like he was talking to the camera.
None of the other characters can respond to them and if he was really trying to communicate his frustration would he not remember that?
It is cute but one or two fine, the rest just gets to be overkill.
I also have started to notice, unlike last season where the aliens got to be um more alien, this season they seem to be more like backdrops.
What is so fun, if we find they're motivated by the same things we are. Should they not be a little different or more strangely complex.
I don't know, but it was a nagging feeling I've been starting to get lately.
