The scene was well acted and directed, giving us a clear impression that John was considering forcing himself on Chiana and Chiana was aware of it and quite frightened.

As was pointed out at the end of the episode, though induced, these were underlying manias in their personalities. John’s violence and feelings of superiority, Pilot’s annoyance, Chiana’s paranoia, Aeryn’s frustration at the situation in dealing with the others, etcetera. It give the audience and the characters something to think about. Once said, words, and actions, can not truly be taken back. Hopefully, the writers won’t forget what they laid down in this episode. It should resurface later in the show.
