First impressions are often lasting ones, however, were science fiction television shows are concerned, I have found that at times it takes more than a few episodes to determine if I ultimately will like a show. Both Babylon 5 and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine were shows where my initial reaction was lukewarm at best, but eventually the had me eagerly awaiting their next episode. As for Farscape, I started watching just this past January with season one's four episode finally. I was hooked right away and anxiously look forward to catching reruns of season one that I've not seen. As for the violence aspect, it does have a fair amount of shootem' up action, but it doesn't seem to me to be what the show is about. On the other hand, not having had the history of the first season, I would have thought that John Crieton was a gung-ho warrior type, not a scientist. Not that the character isn't intelligent, but he is pretty quick to pull his weapon. Again, this makes me even more eager to see the earlier episodes I missed. :Be seeing you... ... and you. - Dominique
