: beginning, went to Creations, but over time, they've definitely
: lost their allure with pricey seating and inaccurate
: information (not informing you guests cancelled and important
: information like that). I've heard a lot of complaints about Creation. I've only attended one Creation convention, in Ohio, and paid $15.00 for general seating. The audience was pretty large but not overflowing, and I had a pretty good seat. They weren't as restrictive there as I've heard Creation can be at their mainline events. From what I've heard, however, the California conventions are usually packed. The Hercules and Xena fans were paying in the neighborhood of $40-60.00, I think, for decent seating at a 1-day event. I guess people should be reminded that Creation Entertainment does this as a business, and they pay their guests. They'll also be flying people in from Australia and that costs a lot of money. So, even if a few fans try to hold Farscape-related events in the United States (and Creation MAY try to shut down or discourage unauthorized Farscape conventions), it will be expensive for them, too. An unauthorized Herc/Xena convention was held a few years ago on the eastern coast. It was called WarriorCon and by all accounts the people had a great time. They had a lot of guests from the shows. But the convention organizers lost tens of thousands of dollars on the event because they were paying so much money and charging considerably less than Creation. They simply didn't get the attendance they needed to break even.
