I'm new to posting on this board (I did my first five minutes ago), and I don't know how you folks feel about discussing religion here, but many of the basic plots of this sound a lot like the Christian end of the world. Morgoth comes, Satan comes, Dagor Dagorath, Armeggedon (and another battle I forget the name of, starts with a 'm'), world remade, world remade. Evil vanquished forever, evil vanquished forever... you get the idea. So Middle-Earth (if you think ME will end this way) ends the way that it started; along Judeo-Christian lines.
