Isn't that exactly what I said? Any type of business, including show business and the gaming world, is around for the sole purpose of profit. Of course, this is entirely necessary, as without it, no progress or useful transactions would take place.

However, with the added variable of basing your movie or game upon an already set standard, there comes into question the matter of purity. Just as recent movies have distorted our real history, they will distort fiction with little regard to a man's artistic talent. I believe that to be a sad fact, but an unavoidable one.

I wasn't beating up on Director Jackson, he seems to be a decent enough chap. However, I am thoroughly disappointed with the head director of Middle Earth Online, but that is another matter and I don't wish to start flaming the man....
