My favorite characters would be Eowyn, Faramir, and, of course, Nienor Niniel. I relate to how Eowyn and Niniel feel, afraid of never doing anything worthwhiel, or of the shadows. Faramir I admire as both a scholar and warrior, as well as the way he treatd Eowyn. : Another thing. In The letters of Tolkien he says that he is working on a story about when Aragorn II and the children go around acting as Orcs (is this correct?) and cults come into it etc. Has this story been published at all? : Finally, Tolkien saw himself as an observer of Arda and it's history and not the creator. Would it be right for anyone to publish fictional work on Arda etc? Don't know. I am writing a fantasy story/novel set in a land I made up, but using Elvish (as far as my meager knowledge doth extend) for the place-names. Sometimes I ask myself if this is pleigarism and thievery,or, since Tolkien *was* only the recorder of Elvish, its use in my own universe is alright. And then there's always the thought of what Tolkien himslef would have said, observer or no observer...[she rambles on..] --Niniel, pondering
