Although I think Idril might have been blond, I'm not sure. : Idril, per Morgoth's Ring, was pale skinned (and named the White Lady or some such thing) but dark haired. I just read Michael's posting re: Idril. I was just reading Morgoth's Ring last night so the above cite was fresh in my mind. Of course, the author may have changed his final conception of Idril prior to the Silmarillion. I will have to check, and apologize if I have provided inaccurate info.
