But who is going to care about my ideas anyways? Scientists take one look at my liberal studies degree and snub their noses like that somehow disqualifies me from understanding or valuing scientific method. My spiritual friends hear one conversation where I talk about scientific method, and doubt my authenticity as a person of spiritual depth. I'll probably die taking my insights with me to the grave and then they'll all be sorry! LOL Hasn't anyone else here felt like the rope in the science/religion tug of war? Thanks for a chuckle. :^) I know exactly what you mean. Today's scientific community (at least those that end up in the main-stream media) seem to have forgotten that faith is what drove so many scientific advancements during the renaissance; and also that they have as much preconceived ideas as those who have religious faith. Of course, non-scientist religious folk are often to blame for that putting on blinders and saying, "Don't show me any data. I just believe what the church tells me!" What I am encouraged about is I see more evidence recently of scientific studies that start from a Christian world view trying to harmonize the spiritual and scientific, and they are getting just as sophisticated as the materialists. Of course, as you say above Galadriel, they are getting flack from both sides.
