: "A" preview will be available tomorrow, though I wouldn't wager on getting in on the action. The sites will most likely be flooded with Tolkien afficondos. I did, however, see a small preview peice (don't ask) and it wouldn't be worth mentioning, except I did get an impression from that. Not to toot my own horn here, but I usually can tell from a trailer the worth of a movie (not 100% mind, but usually). The impression that I get is that this movie can go one of two ways: 1) It could be a lot like Dragonheart or Krull. Now I liked both movies, but they were more on the cheesy side and not really of cinematic worth. 2) It could be a lot like Excalibur. If you haven't seen this movie, it is a very nice retelling of the Arthurian legend, the cinematography is good, and the acting is impressive. I believe it received an academy award, or was at least nominated for one. Either way, since I enjoyed the above films, it should be a worthwhile project for Tolkien lovers.

: I know that I have been in the "wait-and-see" camp for as long as the movies have been mentioned, but in this case, I really want to see the full preview to expand upon my current feelings.

Just a notice to all who are concerned about the movie's outcome. I think it's great for a potentially decent film to be made for LOTR finally, but it's not the last one that will be made. I'm sure all of you remember the pathetic attempted cartoons of LOTR, that was step one. There have been many cut projects and inconsistancies, and finally another full attempt with 'newer technology and better actors'; this may only be another step, not a leap. I trust that PJ will do a good enough job that I will be able to watch the whole movie thrue. In short, this is not the end! If this flops, eventually another attempt will be maid (most likely within the next five years).
