Thranduil had good relations with the Dwarves both before and after the incident with Thorin. Gimli points out that Dwarves helped build his halls in northern Mirkwood. And Celeborn did not have bad relations with Dwarves, either. It's hard to find ANY relations between him and the Dwarves. In a rejected history he refused to pass through Moria, but in another history he did not. If there was ill-will which lasted from the war between Doriath and Nogrod, it was evident only in Oropher's attitude, but Tolkien wasn't even consistent there. : OTOH, the relationship of the Dwarves of Nogrod (in the FA) and : the Dwarves of Khazad-dum (in the SA) with the Noldor (and even : the Sindar - especially Eol) seems to have been rather : exemplary - both kindreds seem to have benefited greatly from : their relationship. The Sindar with friends with the Dwarves for the equivalent of thousands of years in Beleriand. And they did not express animosity toward the Dwarves in later ages (with one or two possible exceptions).
