: : My God, if they crucify the LoTR the way they did the 'real' events in Braveheart, it really will be horror. : : Braveheart is a complete load of tosh, unreal, overly romanticised lies about a country a bit like Scotland fighting a country nothing like England. The real history of Scotland and England is fascinating and has never been accurately and unbiasedly shown in a film I have seen : : IMHO of course : : Don Q : Umm, no offense taken, I'm sure, but some of us happened to like that "complete load of tosh, unreal, overly romanticised lies." I happen to think it was a highly entertaining movie, and great peice of story-telling. I only rarely go to the movies to see historical commentary, if I want that I will watch the History Channel. I go to the movies generally for entertainment, and Mel Gibson hacking away with an over-sized sword was (IMHO) loads of fun! : -RobRoy I happen to love the History Channel! They did a superior and entertaining show on the development of the sword that was awesome. I liked Braveheart too though - I got to visit that monument of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce earlier this year, very cool....
