: : : : Earendil was half Adan would he count? Elrond was 6% Maia and a third Adan would he count. Must one be full Eldar to count in this? What are the rules? No one informed me. : Where does that "third" Adan come from? would he not have to be half quarter etc.? (I seem to remember that he was halfelven). : NT Earendil was half (50%) Adan (son of TUOR and IDRIL). Elwing was one quarter (25%) Adan (daughter of DIOR, who was half Adan, and NIMLOTH, who was full Sinda). So Elrond was 25% Adan from his father (Earendil), and 12.5% Adan from his mother (Elwing). This would thus make Elrond 37.5% Adan or approximately one third (or at least closer to a third than to either a half or a quarter) : Interesting pike debate. Thanks. I thought so too. I was rather surprised you did not join in.
