I like that. :) : So, I guess Southrons saying, "You fellers ere gonna ride on tha mamuke taday", is right out. To be honest although there are a million ways you could go with this one, in my humble opinion the following would be the proper accents for their characters. The Shire would have to have an English accent. The hobbits are some of Tolkien's closest characters and I can't imagine him wanting them to have anything but an English accent. The Rohirrim (did I spell that right?) should have an "uncivilized" accent. Perhaps Scottish or even Australian. The men of Gondor should have an dignified Southern accent. Not a redneck accent but more of a Gone with the Wind kind of accent. I'm not claiming to know anything more than anyone else and everyone probably has a differant opinion but that's my opinion.
