: : The accent with the least accent. I like that. :) : : So, I guess Southrons saying, "You fellers ere gonna ride on tha mamuke taday", is right out. : Yes, but could you imagine if John Wayne was still around and cast in a part? : (as Gandalf) : "Why you fool of a Took. But I'm not gonna throw ya in, I'm not gonna . . . (grabs Pippin). Like hell I'm not." : (as Aragorn) : "The hour is now come, I think. Fill yer hands you sonsoffbeeches!" : (as Frodo) : "I will not do this deed. The Ring is mine . . . and any of you low-life, yellow-bellied momma's boys wanna try and take it? Do ya, wah-hah?" : -RobRoy John Wayne talked like that in his Western movies yes, but if you saw him in any of his war movies you would agree that he would have made a good Argaron(provided he was younger and had some makeup to change his appearance) Just out of curiosity do you live in America? Most Americans (except for Southerners...no offense) talk normal. The English, to me anyway, sound stuck up with thier accent and thier fancy words.(no offense intended) The hobbits would have been English. The Riders of Rohan would have a slight Scottish/Irish accent. Gondorians would have a formal American accent with a hint of English (someone said that the American accent was bold and arrogant and that sounds like Gondor) Dwarves, would have like a middle to old english accent. I think that Elves would be somewhere in between American and English accents. Just in my humble opinion of course. -Thentaran
