I would seem possible. An individual orc might begin down the patch to redemtion, but would that orc survive in a society predicated on the rule of the strongest, cruelty etc.? If the orc left orcish society and became an outcast, would the old hatreds and prejuices of those he encountered force the orc to abandon his/her path and return to the old ways? At best, I think, over time you might see small groups of redeemed orcs living in their own enclaves, outcasts from their own people and still looked upon as vile evil creatures by other peoples. It would probably take some great event to begin the redemtion of orcs as a whole. An orc messiah, or an powerfull orc leader like Constantine, perhaps? Even then, there remains the problem of getting other peoples to accept the redeemed orcs. ~Aelmer
