SF-Fandom.Com is part of the Xenite.Org Network of Science Fiction and Fantasy Fan Websites. Originally part of Xenite, SF-Fandom was created in 2001 to host the growing Web forums that helped make Xenite famous. Our Science Fiction and Fantasy Forums now reside on a subdomain (forums.sf-fandom.com) and remain popular with our visitors.
You do not need to register to read any part of this Website, including the History Blog, SF-Fandom Network News, the old SF-Fandom blog archive, or our online magazine search portal.
Free registration is required to post in our forums.
IP Addresses Are Recorded
When you view any page on SF-Fandom, our server records that activity in a server log file. The server log is processed every night, wherein all personally identifying information is discarded and only the activity (the “hits”) are summed for internal reporting purposes. We do not share this data with anyone, although a lawful request for raw server log files (if they are available) may be made by government agencies. SF-Fandom does not guarantee that these log files will be withheld from law enforcement for any reason.
We may include third-party code on this site from advertisers, advertising networks, and Website analytics companies. The third-party code may collect information about your visit including your IP address, Web browser, and what pages you view. SF-Fandom is not responsible for the data those companies collect and they do not share personally identifying information with us.

The various sections of this site may set cookies in your browser. A cookie is a note your browser maintains, and which you have the freedom to delete at any time through your browser settings. Browsers use cookies to remember where they are logged in as users and which pages they have viewed.
Advertising networks may set cookies in your browser to help them determine in future visits on SF-Fandom or other Websites what content you have viewed and what you may be interested in. SF-Fandom’s advertising partners do not share any information with us about their cookies.
You may have the right to opt out of cookies set by advertising networks but it is your responsibility to find their opt-out instructions and follow them. SF-Fandom cannot in any way opt-out for you.
Email Addresses
If you use any contact form on SF-Fandom to leave a comment or send an email to the administrators or any member of the SF-Fandom community, your email address will be recorded in one or more log files. The log files may be purged from time to time and should you request a copy of past correspondence SF-Fandom may not be able to fulfill that request.
We will tell you in good faith if we have any information on file about your email address.
Advertising

You may visit advertiser sites at your own discretion and should you do so SF-Fandom will not provide you with any discounts, refunds, rebates, or other financial incentives for visiting those sites.
If you click on any ads, or make any purchases through the ads, SF-Fandom may (through its parent company Reflective Dynamics, Inc.) receive some compensation from the advertiser or advertising network.
