The Xenite.Org network consists of several domains that I created through the years. Some are no longer part of the network. Some are relatively new and waiting for me to bring them online.
In addition to the Xenite.Org network, there are several other domains which are using our server. They may or may not participate in any of our banner advertising campaigns, or make other use of our resources. Those arrangements are handled on a case-by-case basis.
And then Dixie is my partner. She has her own set of domains (some hosted on this server, some not), and we primarily use one of her domains to handle the mailing lists that were once hosted through Xenite.Org. Sometimes we do other things with her domains, but not often.
Then we have some special relationships with other domains which are neither hosted on our server nor controlled by us. Those relationships usually concern use of content (either content that we control and allow them to use, or content that they control and allow us to use).
Finally, the Xenite.Org network participates in a number of merchant affiliate programs which help underwrite our operating costs (currently somewhere between $1500 and $2000 per year, when you consider all the fees that Dixie and I together pay for the various domains we control -- although most of the money goes toward the monthly server fees).
We do not disclose the details any more than that primarily because it's a royal pain to keep up with it all and no one really needs to know all that stuff anyway. The domain registration records are matters of public record. "Dixie" is a nickname and I don't think she uses it to register any of her domains, but you can find my domain registrations if you want to know badly enough which domains I control personally.
Our relationships with other Web site operators may require us not to disclose any information about those relationships.
The privacy policy which we enacted years ago, and which we abide by, ensures that we do not share private information (such as registration data, email addresses, etc.) belonging to our registered users and third parties -- except where services we offer may come in conjunction with third parties. For example, some of our mailing lists are actually "owned" by other people. We just provide the services for free to friends, relatives, and acquaintances we take pity on. We are the technical administrators for those lists, but we don't guarantee anyone that the list owners won't share their private information (though, so far as I know, no one has ever shared that private information -- these are mostly small lists anyway).
So, I hope that answers your curiosity. We are not actively seeking partnerships, and in fact we ignore or refuse most offers of affiliation when they come in.
Dixie and I do this for fun, or for a sense of personal fulfillment, or just because we're in so deep we don't know how to get out of the quagmire. :halo:
