This is a short PBS video tutorial about the Green Sahara. Although we've had discussions about the Green Sahara here through the years, there are a few surprising facts about it that are new to me. For one thing, scientists have confirmed hundreds of greening periods during the last 8 million years. Somehow it makes the world's largest desert seem a little less bleak and forlorn. Not that i want to live there any time soon.
