I don't know if this proof will prove to be ground-breaking for mathematics but I suspect it may inspire some people (better versed in math than I) to explore the possibilities of using fractals and infinite series to explore some other "unsolvable" problems.
The YouTube MathTrain channel presents a possible reconstruction of the mysterious proof created by 2 high school students in New Orleans, per various news articles like this report from Live Science:
