When I was a kid I read an HPL story, sort of similar to the Truman Show.
A guy is a subject of experiments, and he catches on when he unexpectedly runs upstairs and looks out a window. It was rainy downstairs but is sunny upstairs.
I am dying to read it again, but I have never been able to find it in any collection.
Can anybody help???

Doesn't sound familiar to me, but I'm not an expert. When I asked if anyone could identify a couple of stories, it took months for an answer. So hang in there, fenn. -

You are sure it is a HPL story? Not maybe one of the too many "Lovecraft inspired" ones?
I have a book with collaborations between Lovecraft and other authors (his wife for example), maybe I find it there. I rarely read it and could well have forgotten the story. -

I've read two such collections of collaborations "The Loved Dead" and "Horror in the Museum". I don't think it's in either of those books. -

Yes, you are right. Did not find it in one of those.
Hmm.
I am pretty sure it is no "normal" Lovecraft story, since I don't know it from the short description.
Does not sound like some "Cthulhu Mythos" either. Very strange. -

i think i read the stoy jou ment... did you mean the outsider? is tells about a person which lives in a castle or something similiar und one day it succeedes to break out and comes to our world... and see it is something absolutely discusting.
i dont know if you ment this one (but i like it
)
