I'm going to Boskone again this year.
Right now Sharon Lee and Steve Miller report that they are guest of honor at the "Con within a Con", i.e. NarniaCon.
This being, appropriately enough, a mini convention in the coat check room.
Last year the cloak room sponsored a mini-rubber-duckie contest, and this year they are running a game of clue.
Other than the standard convention stuff [Except no Costume presentation], this convention has all of the usual, plus a couple of extra receptions (usually Art Show reception, author mini-presentation session, and a decent Con-Suite food area on the main convention floor) The convention expects 165 program participants including artists, authors, and science speakers, the authors I'll be looking for include Charlaine Harris and obviously lots of other people.
I usually drive to Alewife Station (at end of Red Line Underground "T" train) and take the T to about a block from the hotel. If my friend will be coming, she'll probably want to splurge for the valet parking, and then I can cart a few extra books for signing.
