Dear all,
For many years I am looking for the title and actor of a SF movie.
Somewhere in near futre, the earth is heavily attacked by aliens (nothing knew so far
)
This aliens behave like and look completely equal like normal humans.
Except for one "detail": they all carry an orgnic nuclear bomb inside that get's triggered when they find their (mostly dead) original.
This is a way of the aliens to hit the earth people where they can hurt them as much as possible.
A jet fighter pilot (or astronaut?) wakes up and doesn't know what happened to him the last days.
He looks for his wife and children while being hunted at as an alien.
When he finally finds himself dead in a crashed jet fighter, he detonates himself and te aliens have won yet another strike.
I would be very happy if someone recognizes this SF movie that origins between 1980 and 2005.
It's in color but definately only in DVD quality.
The actor I first thought at was robert redford or harrison ford but I couldn't find any hits at all.
Any hints are VERY welcome

LOL! You lost me at "organic nuclear bomb". That's a new one to me.
That said, could it be The Hidden starring Kyle Maclachlan (more famous for Dune, Blue Velvet, and Twin Peaks)?

I think I saw that - Claudia Christian us in it. But it's the same idea as that Denzel movie - the alien just moves from body to body. I don't recall a bomb. -

Whoa. That takes me back. I've actually seen that one. Doesn't fit the bill though. That was more of an alien serial killer. Not an alien invasion.
This one is new on me.

Some of the details you offered don't work, but after thinking about the detail of aliens who act like humans and have an explosive, I thought it might be "Screamers" which was a 1995 film based (very loosely) on a PKD short story.
The detail that does work is that the end scene is similar, taking place at an escape shuttle.
However, I don't think it takes place on Earth, and technically the antagonists aren't aliens—they're self-replicating machines that grow in intelligence and ability.
